Literally meaning “pick me up” in the Treviso dialect, “Tireme su”, this classic Italian dessert has found its way onto the tables of humble homes in Italy prepared with love by Nonna with a well‑kept family secret recipe to the fine dining tables of the world-class establishments intricately crafted by culinary masters. The Tiramisù will pick anyone and everyone up with its layers of decadent deliciousness. Its origins are still somewhat disputed with various stories and myths pointing to different cities and towns but a classic tale reveals that the Tiramisù originated in Treviso during the 1800s as an aphrodisiac dessert; a love potion.

Over the centuries we have seen the Tiramisù take different forms with various interpretations and tweaks to the traditional recipe. However, the essence of an authentic traditional Tiramisù lies in these key ingredients; espresso, delicate savoiardi lady fingers, mascarpone cheese, cocoa powder, sugar, eggs, and a bit of booze.

Grazia’s Tiramisù follows Nonna’s recipe, delicately layering and balancing the flavours for nostalgia in every bite, just like how Nonna made it. Soaking the delicate savoiardi in espresso shots using Grazia’s in‑house Italian roast coffee blends provides an authentic bittersweetness to be complemented by the rich and creamy mascarpone. No whipped cream. No cream cheese. Just the best ingredients in one cup.
